procuris

Start and end the product tour

The tour walks you through one tender from the feed into the workbook, and you can repeat it from the sidebar.

The product tour shows procuris on a real tender. It leads from the Feed through your saved search onto the board and into the workbook. It starts by itself when you complete setup with Finish setup. Later you restart it from the sidebar.

The tour speaks of the board, while the sidebar calls the same place Pipeline. The Pipeline shows your tenders in progress as a board with columns and cards.

Start the tour

The tour only starts by itself after setup is complete. To get there, on the last screen with inputs you choose Finish setup and then Go to Dashboard. This screen is called Notification preferences, and in the re-entry of an organization with saved searches it is Your saved searches (Re-entry). The tour then begins on the feed. If procuris shows a video first, the tour appears as soon as you close the video.

If you choose Skip setup on the Notification preferences screen instead, no tour starts. On the screen before it ("Add keywords for sharper matches"), Skip setup only takes you on to the notification preferences, so the tour still starts there with Finish setup.

If you join an existing organization, you do not go through a setup. For these members the tour does not start by itself, and neither does it for members of an existing customer's organization without the Owner role. After skipping, without a setup, or at a later time, you start the tour like this:

Choose Start the tour at the bottom of the sidebar. The entry sits directly below the Help & Support entry.

procuris opens the feed and shows the first station of the tour. Each station is a small window with a title and a short text, called the tour window here. Read the text and choose Next.

After that, the tour opens the page of each station by itself. You do not need to look for or click anything unless the text asks you to.

Start the tour begins at the first station, even if you ended a tour halfway through. If you reload the page during the tour, procuris shows the same station again. procuris saves the station for your account, not in the browser. On another computer you therefore continue at the same point.

What the tour shows

The tour has three legs with a few stations each. At the top of the tour window you see where you are, for example "Leg 2 of 3 · Act". Setup is ticked off there as a completed leg. The dots below the text stand for the stations of the current leg. A click on a dot jumps to that station.

This is how the tour runs from Pro onwards, as long as your AI allowance is not used up:

Outside the tour, you open the workbook from the card with Edit in workbook.

In these cases the tour shows fewer stations:

  • Experienced teams. If you answered the setup question about your experience with public tenders with Fairly experienced or Pro, the tour shows six stations with shorter texts. They are "Your tender feed", "One tender onto the board", "Your card", "Requirements", "A passage becomes a requirement" and "The agent reads the documents".
  • Free. After the "Requirements" station comes "The workbook, to read". The agent starts only from Pro. See plans opens the choice of plans. The tour ends with "That was the tour." and the Done button. During the Pro trial the tour runs as on Pro.
  • AI allowance used up. The station with the agent is missing, and the tour ends with "That was the tour.". You see your AI usage on the Usage page.
  • No saved search. If your organization has no saved search, the Act leg begins at "Your card". Next then opens the workbook of the first card on the board. If the board is empty, the tour ends there.

Below a window width of 1024 pixels, for example on a tablet or in a narrow browser window, the tour highlights nothing and only shows the tour window. On wider screens it also opens the chat window during the first leg.

What the tour changes in your data

The tour creates one card and starts the agent if you ask it to. Beyond that, it only remembers which station you are at.

  • One card on the board. Next on the station "One tender onto the board" puts the named tender as a card into the column marked as Default on the Pipeline Stages page (gear Settings on the pipeline). As long as nobody has changed that, it is In Prüfung (Pipeline). The station names the title and the reason for the choice beforehand. As a rule it is the best hit of your saved search. If the saved search has no hit yet, the tour takes the tender that best matches your search terms, otherwise the newest one from your feed.
  • The card counts like one you created by hand. The other members of your organization receive a notification about the new card, and it counts toward the number of cards your plan allows (Plans). If the tender is already on the board, the tour takes the existing card and does not create a second one.
  • Remove the card again. If you do not need the card, choose the trash icon Remove from pipeline on it and confirm. The tender leaves the board and stays in the feed.
  • The agent only starts on your click. Only Start agent on the last station starts it. It reads the tender documents of this tender and writes the requirements into the list (Capture requirements). The run counts toward the AI usage of your plan, like a start outside the tour. If you end the tour before that, no agent starts.
  • The tour creates no selections or comments. They only appear when you select a passage or write a comment yourself.

If you start the tour again, usually no second card appears. Next takes the top hit again, and as a rule it is already on the board from the first tour. A new card only appears if a different tender now sits at the top or you removed the card beforehand.

End the tour and repeat it later

You end the tour at any station with one click. Choose End tour at the bottom left of the tour window or the X at the top right. Both end the tour without asking. Only while Next is creating a card or starting the agent are both locked for a moment. No station is kept for resuming. Start the tour in the sidebar then begins again at the first station on the feed.

Previous goes back one station and opens its page. On the first station of the Act leg, Previous is missing. From there you only reach the Orientation leg through Start the tour.

When a station does not move on

A station stops when something is still missing. The tour window usually says itself what it is waiting for.

What you seeWhat you do
"Your saved search is still running. Please bear with us …", Next spinsWait. Your saved search is searching right now, shortly after setup usually for the first time. As soon as it is done, the tour moves on. Previous and End tour still work.
Notice Limit reached after NextYour plan allows no further card. Remove a card from the board or change your plan, then choose Next again.
Message "Failed to add tender to pipeline"Choose Next once more.
"The workbook is not loaded yet. Please press Next again in a moment."Wait until the workbook is visible, then choose Next.
The tour window sits in the middle and the button reads Go thereYou left the page of the station. Go there takes you back.
The tour window stands alone and nothing is highlightedThe window is narrower than 1024 pixels, or the element shown is missing on the page, for example the comments without an open document. Next still works.
"There is no tender yet that we could put on your board. The tour ends here."Start the tour again later, when your saved search or your feed shows tenders.

If none of this helps, choose End tour and then Start the tour. If the tour stops at the same station again, write to support@procuris.eu and name the title of the station.
